PrimeScript™ II 1st Strand cDNA Synthesis Kit

The PrimeScript II 1st Strand cDNA Synthesis Kit contains all of the reagents necessary to synthesize 1st strand cDNA from total or poly A+ RNA using PrimeScript II RT. A primary inhibitor of cDNA synthesis is non-specific binding of the RT enzyme to regions of RNA higher structure. This is particularly prevalent when working with long RNAs or those with complex structures. In addition, non-specific amplification caused by mispriming by the reverse transcriptase can make RT-PCR or production of full-length cDNA difficult. The combination of PrimeScript RT with an accessory protein allows PrimeScript II RT to restrict both of these major inhibitors of cDNA synthesis. This kit facilitates efficient production of full-length cDNA products, promotes efficient use of poly A+, and provides rapid synthesis and reaction times at standard temperature (42°C).
